Good Bye Lenin Hostel

|
Funnily enough, Lenin actually lived in Cracow before the First World War - he loved the place, not least the superb Polish soups and vodkas. Needless to say, the statues of Comrade L that littered Poland after 1945 weren't a great hit with the locals - Cracovians even tried to blow up the one in neighbouring Nowa Huta (only the foot actually exploded!). As the name of this hostel hints, 'Goodbye Lenin' takes a jokey approach to the revolutionary Russian. It's quirkily decorated and there are plenty of perks, such as free internet (wireless), a bar, regular barbecues in the garden, parking places and 24 hr reception. |
