Awiw Hotel

Awiw is an attractive new mid-range hotel located in between the Old Town and the fashionable Kazimierz district. It's awash with restful cream and beige tones, and the furnishings are plain and functional. Modern glazing eliminates the threat of hubbub from the streets nearby. The staff can help you to sort out excursions to Wieliczka Salt Mines, Zakopane and Auschwitz. You can set yourself up for the day with a hearty buffet breakfast, whilst internet addicts can make use of the fast connection.

"We found the Awiw to be a very good base. About 10 minutes stroll to the old town centre (you won't find anything much nearer, apart from the expensive multi-national chain hotels). Very clean, modern rooms & friendly, helpful staff. Only minor gripes would be lack of tea/coffee making facility in rooms & no lift (Bit of a bind to lug cases up to 3rd floor, which is where we were !) Overall very good, and would recommend wholeheartedly for good value family accomodation in Kracow."
