DJ Hostel email

A bust of the great king Jan Sobieski adorns the facade of this new hostel, and the place is certainly a contender for the crown of best hostel in town. What might win it for them? Well, there's the design for starters, in which cheerful modern furnishings sit snugly amidst classic Cracovian apartments. Then there's the location. Backpackers won't have to panic about crossing half the town as you're just round the corner from the slick new bus and train station complex. Finally, you can choose between intimate, guesthouse style doubles for extra privacy or save some cash by joining a dorm. The friendly staff are enthusiastic about the city and they'll clue you up on all the hippest spots. A great new addition to the hostel orbit.

This is by far, one of the best hostels we've been to. About 200m from the train and bus stations. The staff, well, for us, it felt more like we were guests in their home. John is a great laugh and has the most amazing stories. Gosia has the gift to make you feel welcome, very informative, and easily done with her warm heart and beautiful smile. You can be assured that you'll be treated like a guest, rather than a customer. Thanks for the memories....:) Rich and Erika Calary,AB Canada

number one rule of travelling - never stay in the hostel by the station! It's always one of the shittiest areas of the city, and noisy

Unfortunately DJ hostel was a huge disappointment when we stayed there (August ’06). Yes, all staff members were indeed very friendly. However, the entire street in front of the building was a massive construction site and the noise made it impossible to sleep longer than 7:30h every single day (including Sundays). None of the staff members told us about this before we arrived. Neither did they tell us about the planned power cut one day, so that everyone had to take a cold shower in complete darkness. There was no toilet paper for more than a day. And finally, be aware that there is a computer in the hostel, but most of the time it is impossible to use the internet because it is incredibly slow.
Krakow itself is a fantastic city, but we cannot recommend this hostel at all. Sorry!

We're 7 staying just for 2 nights (06 and 07 juin)because we hadn' booked the rooms longtime before we leave for Krakow. We sincierly regrad of can't stay longer with these nices girls.
All staffs are very kind, especially Monica who is always willing to help and friendly. They leave clients a lot of liberty to take our breakfast when we want (of course we shouldn't abuse their kindness). Rooms are very clean, tidy and bright. This small hostel is just 10min on foot from the central station. I recommand you strongly to stay at this hostel and next time I would like to return their also; have a nice trip to all of you.

Stayed for 5 nights in May and it was a pleasure, all the staff are friendly and very helpful. Within walking distance of Market Square. Thanks for a great holiday.

I stayed overnight in this hostel together with my wife - we defitinely recommend it. It has a warm atmosphere, an ideal location 2 minutes from the main train station and really comfortable rooms. We were absolutely relaxed there, we were perfectly satisfied. Do not look anywhere else, do not waste your time - get in here!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at DJ hostel whilst visiting Krakow in febuary. It is definately the best hostel we have stayed in , despite it being -5 outside , the hostel is cosy and warm, a real home from home with large comfy rooms .The manager Joanna is lovely and really goes out of her way to make sure you have a good stay with lots of local information and help such as booking taxis etc.I have nothing but good things to say about this hostel and we definately recommend it to anyone considering a trip to this beautiful city.
