Jan Matejko was the grand old man of Polish painting. The much-loved romantic kick-started the distinguished Art Academy over the road, and his own home was just round the corner from this typical Cracovian townhouse. Like Matejko himself, the attic flat here is diminutive in size, but its charms are many.
It's a sweet little hideaway that boasts delightful views over the Planty Gardens and easy access to all the city's attractions. Like Mariacki next door, we'd recommend it to a young couple or an explorer leading a one man expedition through this fair land. A small bathroom with a shower, as well as cooking facilities in the main room will ensure that you have everything you need for your stay.
