B & B La Fontaine

If you like the idea of doing your own thing then you can set up your own home from home in this mansion on the very corner of the Main Market Square. B & B La Fontaine has a range of apartments and double rooms on offer. All come equipped with air-conditioning, internet connection, satellite television, fridge and microwave oven. The owner also owns a well-known restaurant downstairs so you can be sure that breakfast won't be a disaster. Their apartments come in two sizes, one would be suitable for four people, whilst the latter could manage six. There are also double and quadruple rooms. Needless to say the location is tremendous.

Location excellent, breakfast & staff good - that is all I can say. One of the bedrooms had no window, like black hole of Calcutta.!! Bathroom small, difficult to shower esp. without shower curtain. Everywhere smelt stale prob. cigarettes. Had to put kettle on the floor to make a drink as plugpoint near floor. Steps to the room about 77, good job we are fairly fit as this was not mentioned when we booked it. Also the accommodation was nothing like the photos. Wasn't cheap either was all in all very disappointed with the apartment.

We stayed for five nights and were very impressed- the breakfast was outstanding! There are a lot of stairs but you can cope with that. Very friendly staff.

Very small rooms, no windows, no elevator and high price. I didn't like it.

Stayed in La Fontaine from 14th June - 21st of June...We had an apartment for 4 people...Fantastic location & facilities...Staff extremely friendly..Breakfast was great.. Couln't fault this Hotel...Will definitely stay here again on my next visit,in fact my friend & her family are already booked to go again in August..Would recommend this Hotel...

the only thing which was ok - was the breakfast.
Do not ask for room nr 12 - there is a rafter going across the room from lower side on the right side of the room the the top right side - so if you had a few drinks and want go to the toilet when wake up at night - you will kill yourself if you are not carefull.

You can stay in your room till 12 am next day - but you can also expect knock to your door at 10 am - and older lady will inform you that there is already someone waiting to take over your room - so you should leave asap.

there is also aircondition but - please dont swich it on - after about 10 min - there is a smoke coming out if it.

the bathroom is ok - but there is no proper shower - you have to sit or stand in the bath.

for the same price you can find much better standard for example in Kazimierz.

I booked for 2 nights but stayed only one - anyway the choice is yours

This hotel is twinned with one i found in Klagenfurt ... its (h)all right!

Very accommodating, friendly. Breakfast was nice. 1/2 block from the square, great location.
