One of the oldest Krakow hotels, Polski is in a great position, with views overlooking the walls of the medieval city near Florian's Gate, and just 3 minutes walk from the Main Market Square (Rynek Glowny). Artists sell their paintings on the street in front of the hotel, and there's an elegant charm about the place. However, facilities are modern and good - Polski has a solarium and hairdresser, and in addition state-of-the-art bathroom facilities for disabled people - not the easiest thing to find inside the Old Town.

Hotel Polski

Lovely and spacious room. Location couldn't have been better, but from the same reason it is loud in the night

The location just a few metros from the Barbican and the main street leading to the town square. It was fantastic!

Me, my Mum and my sis booked this hotel well in advance. It was superb - the standard of our room really was way better than we expected. The decor was fantastic and bathroom extremely clean. The room was cleaned daily, very thoroughly. Front desk staff was very helpful - even calling the airline information for us to help us out. Very impressed! This is a very good choice to stay in Krakow.

If you are looking for a touch of Polish traditional decor-this seems to be a perfect place. Excellent location and fantastic staff.

Very helpful reception staff and good quality breakfast for a reasonable ( as for Krakow) price. Few minutes walk to the Main Square. The only complaint would be that our room was a little bit dark, however it was very quite and situated at the back.

The hotel was very clean with nice bar. The breakfast was great and decor traditional Polish with old trunks, lamps and tapestry. Didn't find it too noisy either. Would stay there again.

A good position for exploring the city and near to some excellent restaurants. It could be noisy at night particularly weekend.

What a lovely hotel! Our room faced the street and we had no difficulties with noise unless the clip-clop of horses bothers you. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate my disabled parents (perfectly accessible room) and were always on hand to answer questions. The breakfast was lovely, the beds were soft and housekeeping kept everything immaculate. We will definitely stay here again!

What a charming hotel, great location and attentive staff, we had a room at the front on the first floor looking out on the city wall although small was fabulous !.... that is until the early hours when the noise outside becomes a bit irritating. That said our friends had a room at the rear suffered no such disturbances and their room was much bigger. All the hotel tastefully decorated and this adds to the charm. Would certainly recommend the hotel......... Great !!!

Enjoyed our snowy weekend in Krakow, even though we'd had a fair bit in London too. We had a view of the medieval towers from our window. Just like the Brothers Grimm. Hotel seems recently renovated so had a fresh feel. Above all location good. Not sure about the lard served in local restaurants though? A local delicacy?!

MAde me feel like staying in the castle... nice antique decor and furniture really set the atmosphere and made Krakoow that much more speciel.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, near the main square in Krakow. The room I stayed in is lovely and charming. The staff is friendly. I plan to be back in Krakow in May 2008 with my family and will stay at this hotel. My Polish friend recommended this hotel and I liked it.

I gather that this is one of the oldest hotels in Cracow, owned by the Czartoryski princes who have the museum next door. We found it in good nick. A recent renovation has created a fresh feel. Not over glamorous but just right for what we needed. Lovely location in the Old Town

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable, well-furnished rooms. Despite nestling within the walls of a bustling city Hotel Polski is quiet and peaceful, I would recommend it highly.

Warm and pleasant hotel ideally located for the Market Square and shops restaurants and bars. Warm cosy bar which was important as we were in a group and was ideal for meeting up. Our room was quiet overlooking the back, and being on a corner was very spacious. I would recommend this hotel to friends as it was very well priced. We booked this hotel through this website after reading the reviews - as well as the two restaurants that we ate at. Nothing but praise for cracow-life.com.

Fantastically well-located hotel. Very friendly front desk and helpful staff throughout. Our suites were of very good size, and well decorated, but one minor drawback, there is now a nightclub/bar under the right front corner of the of the hotel which means that things are less peaceful than they used to be. Would definitely return but personally would ensure I had a room in a quiet position in the hotel. As previous reviewer mentioned, next-door museum (truly sublime & worth a visit) has Leonardo da Vinci painting.

reviewed by Peter Bradshaw from United Kingdom on Jun.13.2006

This Hotel is stylish, making good use of the historical builkding it is in, but thoroughly renovated, with a very helpful and friendly front desk. The location in the old town is superb - close to all the attractions, but quiet at night. It is reasonably priced, and I wouldn't hesitate to make it my first choice if I go back to Krak—w. It is ironic, however, that it is located next door to the most glorious art museum in Poland, and across the street from a city wall (7 x 20 meters!) hung by day with the most awful kitch street art...
