U Pana Cogito

This charming fourteen bedroom hotel/pensjonat is a very welcome addition to the Krakow accommodation front. The building itself is a rather splendid villa in the relatively undiscovered district of Debniki, just over the river from the Wawel. Each of the comfortable bedrooms is attractively furnished in cool creams and whites, and each come with their own bathroom. The restaurant is a great place to kick off your morning with a hearty Polish breakfast, yet the cosiness of this hotel makes it an appealing place to stay for dinner too. One hidden treasure nearby that is certainly worth exploring is the Zakrzowek lake - a hidden lagoon in an old mine quarry. It's just fifteen minutes or so walk, so ask at reception for directions. |

Very good resting conditions, after walking hours on the streets of Old Krakow. Quiet area most of the time, exception loud music in the building next to hotel, saturday evening. Fortunately, they stopped at 22:00 sharp!
