Dizzy Daisy Hostels email

Dizzy Daisy is one of the best new arrivals amongst Cracow's hostels. Its found a home in a classic nineteenth century townhouse about five minutes walk from the Old Town. The interior of the building has been immaculately restored, and there are still plenty of delightful old features, giving you a flavour of the Cracow of yesteryear. You've got the option of private doubles or triples (with en suite bathrooms) or dormitories that can accommodate ten. All are furnished attractively and breakfast is included in the price. Bonuses include free internet access, security lockers and no lock out. A good choice.

Nice friendly stuff. Well located, in a quiet area. The best: a bar nearby, quietness in the rooms. The worst: the breakfast is quite poor in terms of quality (not amount). Also, don't rent bikes there, we tried but 3 out of the 4 had mechanical problems, and we found them cheaper in town.

Good hostel, except for it gave me bed bugs. I told the receptionist but they wouldn't move me and it got worse that night. I had to wash all of my clothes

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Dizzy Daisy. Staff are a pack of liers.
Arriving at the hostel at 23:45hs and, desperately tired, I was told that my room (booked weeks in advance)had gone.
The receptionist was rude and obnoxious.
Finding another hotel/hostel room in the early hours of the morning in Krakow wasn't my idea of fun... particularly because I'd never been to the city before.
Submitting a complaint the next day took me absolutely nowhere. Spoke to the manager the day after and, like the previous night, she struggled to lie well.
In summary, the place stinks!
Don't even consider

Bling Bling is awful and full of cigarette smoke from staff/guests smoking outside open door. Soon the hostel, a bit bigger than my flat, is full of smoke. This is dangerous for those who are ill. I was emailed and assured it was a *non-smoking hostel*.
The breakfast is substantial and the only good point.

Helpful staff & decent free breakast (free tea & coffee often available).
Common room/kitchen is small and hostel has currently a shortage of bathrooms.
Need to ban smoking in hostel. Heard good reports on Bling Bling Hostel next door.
