In-the-know travellers are more and more often opting for Kazimierz when they come to Krakow. Kazimierz is the enchanting old Jewish district, and today it is enjoying a colourful renaissance. Hotel Ester is located right at the heart of Kazimierz on one of the most atmospheric and historic streets. It has twenty-three doubles, seven singles and two triples, all with immaculate bathrooms. The hotel just underwent a complete rehaul, which was coordinated by the lady who decorated the wonderful Hotel Wentzl. Poised for great things.

Hotel Ester

It is a charming little hotel with a lot of character and in a great location.

Very quaint and cosy hotel, our rooms were overlooking Sheroka Street. Great restaurant. Fantastic for venturing out at night to get a hot wine, or too:) from wonderfyl Plac Nowy.

We found the hotel Ester on the internet and was very pleased with the election. The rooms were clean and the beds good, with thick duvets. We enjoyed to stay in the Jewish quarter.
I can only walk short distances, otherwise I'm sitting in a wheelchair. The staff at Hotel Ester was fantastic, helped me in every way. Every time I approached the hotel door there were two of the staff who helped me in to the hotel.
The restaurant served delicious food and the staff was friendly.
We got the same table every morning for breakfast, they took the chair out for me and asked if they could bring me something.
I recommend the hotel and are going to stay here next time I come to Krakow

We stayed here during the Festival. What can I say? The whole week was awesome. Even got a view right onto the festival concert from our room. And glorious sunshine for the whole week! Hope to return....

Seemed less "nostalgic" than the other hotels in this part of town but at the same time seemed to have better facilities - all the mod cons. On a very pretty square!

why do hotels always start off by giving you a poor room when they have better available? Ester did this but did remedy when I said I was not happy. Otherwise an OK hotel in jewish quarter. Quite expensive for what it is: rather old decor and furnishings. Looked as of it need sprucing up. But staff helpful and pleasant. Don't book your airport transfer through the hotel. I did and it cost me more than I was originally told by the hotel amd more than calling a cab would have done. Friends of mine stayed at the Polski in town. Much cheaper, good location and recently refurb.

A great hotel in a superb location. Local restaurants open until late. Beautiful area, lively and with a charming atmosphere. Good pubs and quality food choices around. If I go to Krakow again, will definitely stay in Ester.

Agree with all the comments below. I wanted to stay in this part of town and was delighted to find this hotel. It's on a very pretty street. I gather that this is where the Jewish Festival is celebrated in the summer. Good restaurant over the road called shara

Stayed at this hotel during our recent visit to kracow. Really enjoyed our time here, food was plentiful and tasty, beer and wine was good and the bar and restaurant had a warm atmosphere especially with the local singing group. Staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this hotel, and definitely stay here again.

It is a very nice decent hotel and the area (Kazimierz) is really delightful with lots of cafes and bars which reminded me a bit of Covent Garden before it became too commercial. Good value too and I would certainly stay there again.
