In terms of cost this is a mid-range hotel and many of their bedrooms are appointed in a plain, no-frills style, as one would expect. However, the overall ambiance of the place is distinctly otherworldly - this is a hotel that creates a genuinely magical atmosphere. Antiques, paintings and plenty of eccentric touches conjure the spirit of pre-war Jewish Kazimierz (the old district is just a couple of minutes walk away). Prices kick off from 150 zl for a basic single, but if you feel like treating yourself, you can upgrade to an apartment with beautiful art deco furnishings. A restaurant is on hand and animals are welcome. The splendid Royal Castle is a five minute stroll north of the hotel. |
