An intriguing addition to the exclusive hotels bracket, Residence has gone for the intimate approach, setting us shop in a small nineteenth century building at the foot of the Pugetow palace. Technically the address is on the grand avenue of Starowislna, but you are actually tucked away behind the palace, making this a quiet and secluded option that's still within a couple of minutes walk from the heart of the city. Residence offers seven exquisite rooms, each decked out in a different theme. Thus one finds the elegant Pani Walewska room, named after Napoleon's Polish mistress, Countess Walewska, a grand affair with antiques and gracious fabrics. Great care has gone into the individual character of each room and the attention to detail has paid off. A welcome addition the Cracow hotel scene.

Hotel Pugetow

Hotel was in a very quiet position but close to the old town and main square. Good selection of continental breakfast items

Loved this place, our first choice full and would never have gone for this but great place and very reasonably priced! Would absolutely go back if I ever return to Krakow.

the situation of the hotel is perfect, it´s a very quiet place, full of little details, and the staff are so nice and helpful.

This was a little gem of a place to stay. The apartment was very comfortable and the breakfast first class. The staff were aso very friendly and helpful. The only minor criticisms we have is that we didn't seem to be able to control the air conditioning so it was too hot at night and it would have been nice to have had the complimentary tea and coffee replaced every day. However we would definitely want to stay at the Palac Pugeto if we were to visit Krakow again.

Bedrooms are extremely spacious with very attractive decor and furnishings, very good location - in the heart of Kraków, but far enough from the noisy "clubs" streets;

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Pugetow. The rooms are charming and the staff bent over backwards to be helpful before and during our visit. The location is fantastic - halfway between the main square and the Jewish quarter. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

We had very nice days in Cracow especially owing to the wonderful Hotel Palac Pugatow. The room(s) were pretty and we estimated the friendly service. We can and will recommand this address to all our friends.

We came here as our first choice was booked up. But what a happy accident! A really lovely little hotel. Proof that the best things often do come in small packages!

Hotel Pugetow is incredible!

It is a small, "boutique" style hotel with about 6 guest rooms,
but I can't rave enough about it. It's one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in, in all of Europe. Our room, or apartment, rented for about $200 US per night (600 zloty). This great room includes non-touch key card entry with entry hall, living room (antiques), queen sized bed and bathroom. Room includes safe, mini-bar, satellite TV, hand held remote controlled thermostat. Bathroom includes towel warmers, stall type shower, boutique bathroom supplies. In room coffee maker with daily supply of coffee. Full (cold) breakfast is included. Breakfast room bar in basement includes croissants with jelly, fresh fruit, juice milk, deviled eggs, and choices of cereal. Cafe au lait or tea is served upon request. Each day the breakfast room is stocked with beautiful fresh flowers.

Other plusses include that the hotel is superbly located just a few blocks from the market square (Rynek Glowny) and a 10-minute walk to Kasimierz (the old Jewish section). Also, an ATM and post office are just a block away.

The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to fill any request. They can help you with travel arrangements to nearby salt mine or Auschwitz. They arranged to pick us up and drop us off at the airport for about $22 US (70 zloty).

I would definitely stay there again.
