Hotel Daisy email

This good value hotel is located in Wola Justowska, the city's well-to-do suburb, where many famous Cracovians live. Daisy is a simple, unpretentious place offering plain, clean rooms in a quiet location. There are sixteen rooms available, and each comes with internet connection, a television and a bathroom. Nearby you can go for a stroll to the splendid renaissance palace, Villa Decjusz, whilst the Las Wolski woods and zoo are also on hand, both longstanding favourites with Cracovians. The city-centre is a four kilometre bus-ride away.

Hotel Daisy

This was most definitely the worst 'hotel' I have ever stayed in. We were booked into a double room in the 'Hotel Daisy Superior' by Thomas Cook as part of a package deal. Upon arrival we were shown a tiny, twin bedded room which was dark and poorly furnished. When we enquired as to why we did not have a double room we were told to ' push the beds together' We advised that we were unhappy and we were offered a room in the Hotel Daisy Superior for and additional £80. Despite advising both the hotel reception staff and Thomas Cook's emergency contact line staff that we had indeed already paid for a room in the Hotel Daisy Superior we were not offered any alternative accommodation. The room had dangerous electrical fitting with the lights, TV and alarm clock all being run from one wall mounted extension cable. There were bare wires hanging from the wall lights and the socket was over 6 feet from the ground meaning that you had to stand on a chair to plug in any appliance. The bed were actually hard sofas with old blankets laid on top to cover up the base area. The hotel was advetised as offering swimming pool facilities and wi-fi but theses were only available at a price (15 zloty per visit)for clients not staying in a superior room. This hotel or the travel agents using this hotel are mis-selling the accomodation as 3 star and upon arrival offering substandard, hostel standard accomodation!!! The staff were both rude and aggressive when we complained about the accommodation and seemed veru used to dealing with frequeny complaints. Krakow is a fantastic city with very friendly people but please never ever stay at this hotel. We had to pay another £130 ponds to make alternative arrangements for other accommodation since both the Hotel daisy and Thomas Cook failed to help us. This experienced ruined the first day and a half of our holiday . My advice- avoid travel agents and book your our accomodation checking reviews online thoroughly before paying any money upfront.

Basen brudny i zaniedbany..Okolica to jeden wielki plac budowy..Trudno mi uwierzyć, że ten hotel posiada aż trzy gwiazki..NIE POLECAM!

Sorry I forgot to add that the amount of time you could be left waiting in reception was the bizarre bit.

My main summing up of the Hotel Daisy is, bizarre. My room was fine (others I met were not so lucky)the location was beautiful and the breakfast was good. However although most of the staff were friendly the exceptions to the rule were as miserable and rude as you could possibly imagine. Met some very nice guests as well and if they read this I apologise for not saying goodbye.

after staying 2 weeks in a disgusting hotel we couldn't wait to leave. after travelling several hours there was nowhere to get a drink or a snack no kettle in room. the sockets were hanging off the wall, no hairdryer supplied. we were told to go to another restaurant for food. the bus stop was advertised outside the door but was a 10 minute walk. they are building a swimming pool they want to get inside sorted first. our room was dirty never cleaned in 2 weeks no fresh towels or bedding and the staff were so rude and unhelpful. this is a true review not made up like some people think if you are going to book this hotel DON'T it spoilt our holiday

We stayed in the Hotel Daisy for 3 nights earlier this month and had mixed feelings about it. Situated in a lovely residential area. Our room was very small and to use my hairdryer I had to climb on a chair to reach the socket for the TV which was high on the wall. The socket in the bathroom was faulty. The bedside lamp was on a shelf underneath the TV at the foot of the bed but had no plug and there was just nowhere to put anything. Bedding and towels were very old and shabby and they had the strangest flat pillows. We found the bathroom clean and there was plenty of hot water but towels weren't changed while we were there and room was not cleaned. We had to announce our exit when we came out of the bathroom as the door opened outwards. Not much space at all - more like a single room. The staff were quite friendly although we waited almost 10 minutes for the Receptionist when we arrived and nobody was around when we left. The dining room was very pleasant and clean and I feel the nicest feature of this hotel. Breakfast was adequate and nicely presented - the bread was delicious and always fresh. The bar closes rather early at 10.00pm and there isn't really anywhere else around to either eat or drink so we went into Krakow each afternoon and evening by bus and caught taxis back. Great bus service but cost of taxis was an expense we weren't expecting and ate into our spending money considerably. Would definitely stay in the City next time. To be fair - this is a low cost 2 star hotel so we didn't expect the Ritz. However, it would definitely benefit from some new linen and just a few little touches to the rooms to make guests feel more at home. The garden would also benefit from a little makeover as it was more like a beer garden with wooden benches and patchy lawn. Would have liked to eat breakfast out there but found it uninviting. Obviously some building work in progress to the side of the hotel so maybe some improvements are on the way!

Omg the hotel is so cheap and yet some people still have to moan. Seriously, if you want 5 star treatment then go to a 5 star hotel. For what you pay I think it is great value for money and would return there any day. The staff were great and would help you in any way that they could.

My sister and i stayed here for 5 nights, its advertised as having a bar,it only has a beer pump and no drink sold after 10pm,and can only be drank in the room or a sitting room,if we wanted to eat im the evening they offered to send out for a pizza, the electric socket hung off the wall, beds were very hard and uncomfortable, only one morning the bread was totally fresh for breakfast,it was very disapointing, but the staff were lovely and very freindly and helpful.

Have just returned after 4 nights here. Sockets came out of wall - could easily have been electrocuted. Beds not made, room not cleaned although bathroom bin was emptied daily!Filthy shower with showerhead spray part missing. Swatted flies on wall still there. Miserable bloke supposedly supplying breakfast - bread and tea not replenished. Have stayed in better places in Uganda.

Although this is a 2 star hotel, and i wasnt expecting the Ritz , the rooms were very small, electrical sockets hanging out of the walls, bedding and towels were very dated. we arrived at 2100hrs with not as much as a cup off tea on offer no restaurant open and the staff dont speak english and theyre very unpleasent. Breakfast was okay though.
I would not recommend this hotel , look for one in the city centre, taxis and bus service are great.

This hotel is in fact a hostel, hence the very basic accomodation. We were booked in for three nights, but could only last for one. One too many really!!.The beds are not fit for humans, no sheets, a dirty unkept smell. The room was crammped and uncomfortable, very noisy, walls like paper, you can hear conversations. Bathroom tiny and filthy. It is situated miles from city center, you really need to stay central to get the most of Krakow, as i found out. The breakfast is inedible due to the flies!!. I cannot say one good thing about this so called hotel, please take my advice do yourself a favour stay elsewhere, you have so much choice.

this Hotel is a disgrace, we arived to have a family/friends reunion and we left it after when we realized that the rooms are filthy and smelly. Staff were arrogant and unfriedly. Outside Garden was not welcomming to any guest.

Methinks there are some people here trying to trash the reputation of what I found to be a great stay! Mould in and outside the bathrooms? Rubbish! Unsafe electrical sockets? Utter twaddle! Kids in closets? Bulls**t! Poor breakfasts? Untrue! Either these people do not really exist and have never stayed at the real Hotel Daisy, or they stayed at another Hotel of the same name (remember there is at least one more Hotel Daisy in Krakow)!

The truth about this hotel is that I found it to be very much hoe Richard of the UK found it to be.

This hotel isn´t even worth to be called a hotell. The service is bad, rude and unhelpful personell. The mould grows on both in- and outside of the batnrooms. It´s very poorly cleaned and the beds are a hard nightmare. Breakfast is poor and the bread is not fresh every day, still you pay extra for breakfast. They cant cook an egg, realy. The only nice thing is the garden. I really, from the bottom of my heart, cant recommened this hotel even to my worst enemy. Please, dont destroy a wonderful visit in a beautiful town by staying at this hotel.

I would never dream of staying in this hotel again, the correct term is nightmare - or even beyond.

Do not go - the staff are friendly enough, but when we went there wasn't even any water!

Im sorry but this hotel is simply a DISCRASE!

The easy jet staff pay five pounds to stay,so check your getting a good price. It's certainly an experience.

From reading these reviews, there must be some rooms in this hotel which are vastly different to others!

Unfortunately, we must have been given one of the less desirable rooms with electrical sockets hanging off the walls, both in the bedroom and bathroom!, a fusty smelling bathroom and beds and bedding from a bygone age (the bottom sheet was little more than an ill fitting tea towel).

The tiled floors make it very noisy, especially if there is a stag party of British visitors returning to the hotel in the early hours of the morning!

The hotel's best feature is it's dining room.

Overall, the most constructive comment we can make about this hotel is that it is cheap!

Fantastic place on the very outskirts of Krakow. You'll need a taxi to get back from the City in the evening but easy to travel by bus during the day; the bus stop is a lovely 10 minute amble away. Best point of the stay was when I had..ahem..drunkenly dropped my wallet outside the front door the the hotel the night before leaving. After thinking I had left the wallet in the taxi a couple of the older ladies working at the hotel were to later knock on our room door with my wallet!! Clean, helpful and honest!

Hotel Daisy (a.k.a 'The Shed') provided us with an 'interesting' experience. Not only was the bannister held together by sellotape but the plug socket was hanging from the wall by its wires. When a complaint was issued, we came back to find it 'attached' by masking tape!!!! Our view was 'superb' if you're into the whole 'outback' experience. The bathroom had only space for a toilet, no room to turn around-knees against the wall whilst on the toilet! The vodka was to die for however! The radio gave us some entertaining noise!

Don't know which planet Billy Jones is/was on, but the review he wrote for the Hotel Daisy is totally erroneous in its description!
My wife and I have stayed in this hotel and found it to be a great little place that we would recommend to anyone wishing to visit Krakow on a low budget. It might be cheap but it is certainly cheerful! The staff are very friendly (even if their English is very limited), the place is CLEAN, the food was inexpensive (evening meals approximately £2-3 each!) but very tasty. The area it is located in is very quiet, but bus stops and taxi rank are both within easy walking distance. The management will help you out where they can, such as we wanted to leave our bags there earlier than check-in time and later than check-out time because of the times of our flights... No problem, I faxed them in advance with our request, and yes it was all arranged!
For the equivalent of just over £20 per night for a double room (remember the price is by room NOT by person), this has got to be a great way of staying in Krakow cheaply. With our flights, insurance, 3 nights accommodation, our breakfasts, evening meals, airport parking at Stanstead, the whole trip only cost approximately £250.00 for the 2 of us!
