The three star Hotel Polonia is located in a striking, immaculately restored building overlooking the Planty Gardens, the stretch of parkland that encircles the Old Town. All the major attractions of the city can be reached on foot. Ask for a south-facing room for a sweeping panorama of the Old Town. All in all, the Hotel Polonia, which has been functioning since 1917, can sleep 126 souls. There are 66 rooms with bathrooms and some stylish apartments, decked out in an elegant nineteenth century style. There is a restaurant, a conference hall and a beauty salon, as well as internet access. It is also possible to rent a garage.

I stayed one night-beautiful , large room. Quiet and peaceful backyard. Breakfast could be better-more fresh, but I will come back.

Stayed here from 11/11 to 14/11.Best thing about hotel is the location.Perfect for exploring Krakow....only minutes from the old town and train station can be seen from hotel.Rooms are old fashioned and vary in size from tiny to huge.Coming from a hotel background I found the staff cold and unfriendly except for Christopher the porter who was warm and friendly and very helpful...the rest of the staff could learn a lot from him.I would stay there again for location and price.

We couldn't find a room in Cracow until we went to the Polonia. Definitely check out the guest rooms much cheaper for a short walk. The rooms are huge and still have beautiful details, though probably not as refined as the expensive rooms. Breakfast was a little dissappointing for the price.

Oct 06..Just returned from 10 days travelling in Poland. We walked straight out of the Krakow railway station, tired and weary and there was hotel Polonia! Twin room was apprx 298PLN for 2 nights with brekfast but when we asked for something a little cheaper we were offered Guest rooms (block right next door) for 219 PLN for the 2 nights, Comfortable, clean and roomy. You can get a room without shower and loo (shared bathroom) for 89 pln. Enjoyable stay..

I've just come home after a wonderful weekend in Krakow and want to write this review of the Hotel Polonia, which I found quite a pleasant place to stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom newly refurbished. Breakfast consisted of cold meats, cheeses, relishes, breads, juice, coffee and teas. It was tasty and filling. The hotel is located on the edge of the old town, which is very compact. The walk from the hotel to the main square takes five minutes at a leisurely pace. If you're lucky enough to be on your way to Krakow, I hope you enjoy, and don't hesitate to book a room at the Hotel Polonia.
