 | | "Just returned from 4 night stay in Krakow at the Globtroter. Great value for money. Huge room, very clean and freshly decorated. Very helpful staff offering airport pickups, trips and restaurant suggestions /reservations. Quiet location despite entrance shared with nightclub. Only minus point was the damp odour in the room, though probably unavoidable in a property of this age. Would definitely recommend." | Celia Murray United Kingdom May.12.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |

 | | "Just back from Krakow with my girlfriend and we both absolutely loved the place - staying at The Globtroter was one of the reasons for this. We decided to get the train from the airport and walk from the station. It took about 15 minutes, once we got to know our way about it took about 10. We had a wee bit of trouble trying to find the entrance to the hotel but we asked someone and they showed us no problem. We were greeted by Peter who showed us our room and then spent a good 10 minutes with us, helping us get our bearings on the map and showing us a couple of places for breakfast and lunch. It must only be about a minute to the square, just step out the door and walk wherever takes your fancy, you'll find no end of bars and restaurants. The room itself was very basic, although it was spotlessly clean and warm. There's a telly and a kettle - both proving pretty handy when you have to wait on a woman getting ready! The shower was really good as well. The staff were brilliant, we didn't need to see them very much but when we did they were always smiling and extremely helpful. All in all the Globtroter is an excellent choice if you want somewhere cheap, clean and perfectly located. No complaints here." | Badly United Kingdom May.10.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "Everything, the location, the staff, the room all was perfect. We arrived at 7 in the morning from a night train from Prague expecting to find a nice room but small. We got a huge room that could have slept 6 adults easily. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean. The staff was able to get us into our room by 10 am so we could get cleaned up from the night train. The location is amazing. It is literally 1 block from the main square. So convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping. I will always stay here from now on when I come to Krakow." | tashmj United States May.09.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "We have just returned from a 3 day trip to Krakow & The Globtroter was recommended to us by a friend who visited last Oct. Can only say that we are so glad she did! The staff were so friendly & arranged trips for 12 of us to Austwitcz & The Salt Mines which were first class. We stayed in the family flat (4 adults), which was spacious, warm & comfortable. The location is just superb with the main town square literally round the corner & plenty of places to eat & drink within yards. Krakow is a beautiful city & well worth a visit & if you are looking for an excellent value for money place to stay, this is the one!" | Tom United Kingdom May.09.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |

 | | "The Globtroter's probably the best 'budget' hotel that I've experienced and it's in a superb location too. Clean, en-suite rooms, very friendly, English-speaking, staff who really go out of their way to be helpful. No meals 'in-house' but so many restaurants really close by that it makes no differnce at all!
All of party agreed that it was a great hotel and would happily, and probably shall, stay there again.
Krakow's a great city too!!

 | | "Stayed at the Globtroter for a couple of nights from 24-26 April 08 and had a great time. Easy to find, and a fantastic location, only seconds from the main square (yet retaining an 'away from it' feel), and close to many good bars and restaurants. The room was spacious and a large bathroom with power shower, and have no hesitation in recommending to all. Staff also really helpful if you need any information." | Mike United Kingdom Apr.29.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |

The location was perfect, three minutes to the square and all buzz of the spectacular City. We had a ground flour apartment which looked over the lovely gardens. The room was quite big, clean and warm. The shower was fab large and powerful. Staff were great and made our trip very enjoyable. Would have no reservation about using it again or recommending it. | | "My wife and I stayed at the Globtroter in March 2008 and have no reservations in recommending it to other visitors looking for good quality accommodation at very reasonable cost.It is situated just off the main square and in easy walking distance from great restuarants and bars. The staff are friendly and helpful. They arranged two trips for us with no fuss or bother.
The only small negative was the room we stayed in (no 5) was not particularly soundproof but that was not a great problem. Not sure what the other rooms were like.
We would happily go back to the Grobtrotter again and Krakow is city with a great future for city break holidays. Both Grobtrotter and Krakow are worth a visit!" | Andy Mcgee United Kingdom Mar.28.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |

I have travelled to 55 countries and can say that the staff here is one of the best I ever met. All speaks fluent English (and probably a lot more languages) and are most helpful. I can warmly recommend The Globetroter!" | Fredrik Engstrom Sweden Mar.21.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |

 | | "im giving globtrotter a 5 based on pure value for money. if you want the hilton standards go to the hilton. This hotel has everything you need for a brilliant price. labelled a guest house but run very professionally. the rooms are spacious and extremely clean. cleaned every day and beds made. even the ashtray outside the room on the balcony was exchanged daily. extremely central can get to anywhere on foot from here. we had the transfers with the hotel and even tho the flight was delyed 3 hours the driver was there with a name board. The staff are just brilliant really care for your needs. the showers are amazing. very powerfull and spacious enough for me and my girlfriend to fit in easy ha.if you want to push the boat out one eve go to pod roza. 60 pound will get you and your partner a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine in the best of krakows restaurants. auschwitz is def worth a visit. so sad. a perfect romantic gettaway krakow is extremely quaint and scenic. 3 nights was not enough for us.the only downside i would say is that if your used to lush towels you might find their towels abit course so take your own, but that is a very minor point. we loved it didnt want to come home." | Lampers United Kingdom Mar.18.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "5-star super friendly staff in perfect Old Kraków location:I stayed here two nights in March 2008 as a single female traveler. The staff was amazing -- and I threw them for a loop. When I arrived I needed medical care and speak no Polish. For sure, they went beyond the call of duty sending a car and driver with me to the hospital (for no charge!) along with having made dozens of phone calls to track down English-speaking doctors, translating medical info, fielding incoming calls, finding pharmacies open late nights on weekends, etc.In short, I could not have survived without these super kind people. The desk is open 24 hours and I met most staff members and they were all sweet and diligent. I will definitely stay again at the Globtroter when I return, and I will return! Rooms: basic but super clean (I know, I spent the whole weekend in one). Showers: hot. Quiet and private but directly in the center of absolutely everything in downtown old Krakow. This place is a hit. I wouldn't spend a penny more to stay anywhere fancier; you won't get nearly the service or the security or the convenience. " | Lisa United States Mar.17.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "March 10 - 13 saw my wife and I and two friends staying at the Globetrotter for the second time. The staff could not be friendlier in their welcome and dealings with us, always a cheery "Hello" when we see them and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would thoroughly recommend The Globetrotter to anybody visiting Krakow. The rooms are spacious (and high), beautifully clean, the bathroom is large with a great shower and lashings of hot water and clean, dry towels. Its location, some 80m.from the main square makes it so easy to pop back to during your stay to deposit shopping or use your "own" toilet even.We will most certainly be back!!" | Neville Henderson United Kingdom Mar.15.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "As close as you can get for the most "bang for your buck", as its is described on the web site, very friendly, clean, and most of all its a safe place, with its location close to the main town square. they also accommodated all 9 of us for a trip to "Auschwits" which was more than they normal could that. With a 24 hour desk always able to help or point you in the right way. Breakfasts would have made this place outstanding for the money but they dont have the space. but with there being plenty of places to eat did not bother the group." | Steve Watson United Kingdom Mar.12.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "Globtroter really lives up to it's description on this site. It is superbly central, provides excellent accommodation at what are bargain real prices, and is staffed by friendly and helpful Englishspeaking staff who do their very best to advise, abd assist their guests in every respect. | | "I stayed at Globetrotter with three friends when visiting Krakow for a winter break. One of my friends was staying there for their third time. We arranged for someone from the guesthouse to pick us up at the airport, which was much more convenient than waiting for a taxi. The four of us in the group had booked a family room and upon arrival we were given a choice of two rooms. We selected one in the rear section of the property which looked a little nicer and was accessed via the garden. The room was spacious and contained four single beds. The bathroom was clean and tidy and towels were provided. The shower was powerful and hot, just what was needed after a long day exploring Krakow. The staff at the questhouse were very helpful and spoke excellent English - useful if you don't have a Polish language speaker amongst you!The guesthouse is situated in an excellent location, two minutes walk from the main square. There are many good bars and restaurants in the area and is perfect for a short break." | Alice Belgium Feb.21.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "What a great place! Perfect location, welcoming helpful staff we recommend the airport pickup as it takes all the stress out of arriving.
The rooms are big, very clean and you can turn the radiators on and off which is brilliant. The bathroom was big too with a great hot shower.

 | | "What can I say about Globtroter,I will be staying here again, real soon in the next few months. The hotel was very clean, warm, and great value for money and so local to everything it was on the doorstep of the Planty ring(gardens surrounding the city) and therefore was peacefully quiet. The staff were great very welcoming and not intrusive at all.
Peter was a great help with my booking
Cracow itself is much like the globtroter its people friendly and warm I felt so safe and it was so clean no litter which was a surprise for a very busy city. I look forward to going back. " | William Hill United Kingdom Feb.15.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |

 | | "I had a great time in an old Polish city, Krakow, and one of the main reasons is Globtroter. Convenient location, simple, clean, and spacious room, helpful and friendly staffs, unbeatable price. Peter (the manager?) was very quick with responding to my email inquiries. When I was not sure whether I should take a night train to Prague, he made phone calls and emailed me the price of the train ticket. (This, as many of us know, is hard to do from the US.) I asked for a hairdryer and it was placed in the bathroom when I got there. (Bathroom is spotlessly clean and the floor is mildly heated, which is nice.) Arriving in Krakow with a bad cold, I appreciated very much to have a hot water maker and tea bags in my room. This is nice even if you are not sick- Krakow is very cold in fall and winter and it's great to be able to make a hot drink when you get back from outside. When I asked Peter where I could buy an adopter to charge a battery for my digital camera, he offered me one of the extras that they had at the hotel. The reception operates 24 hours (which can be hard to find at hotels of this price range) and young staffs (most of them are college students?) speak English fluently and are very helpful and friendly. With a recommendation from Rick Steves's book and great reviews from this site, I am worried that Globtroter will be too popular! I strongly recommend this place to anybody who visits Krakow." | Y. The rooms are clean, spacious and have excellent facilities. Situated near the centre of Krakow with plenty of bars/restaurants within easy walking distance. I would not think of staying anywhere else if I were to go again! | | "First time in Krakow - but it will not be the last. We loved it.
So much to see and explore. If you are in to discovering interesting cities with lots of interesting culture and art to view then Krakow is up there with the best. The only (slight ) downside for us was the 385 steps down to the first level of the salt mine !
The Globtroter was also a great choice for us. Superb location, really helpful staff, clean and tidy. Good value for money. We will certainly be staying there on our next trip." | Peter United Kingdom Jan.28.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |

All the staff were very obliging and friendly, and helped us find our way around Krakow.

 | | "Just returned from a very interesting long weekend in Krakow. It is quite a remarkable city and I was very lucky indeed to have chosen the Globetroter . As a single traveller it had all I needed and more. The room was very comfortable and very clean and the tea and coffee facilities were a real bonus. Wireless access to the internet was a life saver for me as I suffer from withdrawal symptoms if I am away from the internet for long periods!
The guesthouse is only a few minutes walk from the main market square and there were some fine pubs and restaurants beside it. The staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and were full of advice and information. Great value for money! I will certainly go back again!

Location could not have been better for any money. Quiet side street so no noise from the streets, but within very easy walk to the Square with its pubs/clubs. Worth asking about airport transfers as well, as they sorted it all out and took the hassle away to leave us free to enjoy our break." | Ian Dane United Kingdom Jan.21.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "I would highly recommend staying at Globtroter. The rooms are excellent value and very comfortable. Why spend a fortune on a hotel when you can stay here in the heart of the old town? The shower is very clean and is high powered. The main sights are within an easy 5 min walk and the bus/train station is about 10mins away. There are a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The location is also very quiet and the courtyard surrounding is quaint. Enjoy!!!!" | Rob New Zealand Jan.16.2008 Overall rating 5/5 |
 | | "Very good value for being centrally located and spacious sizes of the bedroom and bathroom (even for a single traveller). For these reasons I highly recommend this place. Tea making facility is a luxury to have especially during the cold. The gardens provide a good serene feeling after a long day of sight seeing! Those traveling to Krakow should realise that travel during winter means less light and the shorter the days! " | Laura United Kingdom Jan.11.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |

 | | "This review is aimed at those of you who haven't travelled to Krakow before and are looking for a "nice affordable" place to stay. Rest assured, you need look NO FURTHER! Globtroter is, as many other reviewers here will tell you, "simply great!". Yes, I know it's a hassle that they don't allow you to pay with a credit card but you are told this quite clearly upon booking, so you can go prepared accordingly. And yes, I know all these "GOOD REVIEWS" might sound rather suspicious but believe me, they are absolutely genuine. The Globtroter is everything they say it is. You will definitely be glad you chose to stay there. I thought I had one complaint: "It is not clearly signposted from the street/square" but on reflection, I am rather glad it isn't : that way it maintains its quiet, tucked away, secret garden feel. I loved it and when I one day return to Krakow, I will be hoping with all my heart that the Globtroter has a room for me. A BIG BOUQUET of thankyous to the all the staff for contributing to my splendidly memorable stay." | Trish Gierke South Africa Jan.07.2008 Overall rating 4/5 |
