Believe it or not the famous cosmetics mogul, Helena Rubinstein, was actually born on this very square where you can now find the Rubinstein Hotel: sleepy Szeroka Street in Kazimierz! Safe to say Mrs. Rubinstein would have approved of this chic and elegantly made-up hotel that has become one of the more prominent buildings in this neck of the woods. A blend of old and new, the hotel seems to effortlessly fit into its charismatic surroundings in the Old Jewish Quarter, whilst showing its guests all the luxuries of the 21st century. The chance to sip a cocktail on the fourth floor terrace is worth the room price alone.

Hotel Rubinstein

Great hotel, great location, very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent but found the lunch and dinner menu limited and somewhat expensive compared to other restaurants in the quarter. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is on the main street in the Jewish Quarter but only 15 mins walk from the main square. Hotel was very unique--old world with modern additions

Rubinstein Hotel is situated in the middle of vibrant Kazimierz district, yet our room was quiet. It was also spacious and unique. Beds very comfy, breakfast absolutely fine.

Our room was a gem with beautifully painted ceiling. The hotel itself is full of character and run very professionally. I would say a unique place!

A very nice hotel, with a high standard.

Very high standard. Our room was charming. I loved the restaurant with a glass ceiling and the jacuzzi. Top service!

Friendly, relaxed and extremely comfortable, but also elegantly furnished; perhaps a little expensive. My one very minor criticism is that the curtains in my room were not quite wide enough for the windows.

Absolutely marvelous!! we stayed in suites and they are just amazing. Breakfast excellent and really nice staff. we will definitely be back. The distance is about 15 minutes to the old town but it is definitely worth it to be in such nice room and pay half of this what you are paying in the city centre. the cellars are also beautiful

The hotel was really lovely in a great location. The staff was very helpful with all our requests. The hotel restaurant was also very nice. I only wish our weather was as nice as the hotel, but the hotel did supply umbrellas.

Just got back from an amazing weekend in Krakow. Was tipping down when we arrived but Sat and Sun glorious. Couldn't get in where we'd planned but this was perhaps even better than the one we'd wanted. Pretty location and pretty restaurant on the bottom floor with glass roof.

Very elegant hotel on a great historic square. We loved this part of Krakow! Szeroka street in particular has a great feel. The rest of Kazimierz is also wonderful :) The hotel itself was all we needed. Recommended!

What a find! We were recommended this by a friend and it turned out to be a real star. On a very pretty and important square. Lovely bedrooms

Not sure about this place having been sensitively refurbished as the previous poster says! The owners of this hotel are infamous in Krakow for having completely ignored the planning law in such a historic area by adding on floors to an old building without the appropriate permission and endangering the neighbouring buildings in the process. The Rubenstein family have stuck two fingers up at the law and the environment and are now just cashing in. Nice people.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel and thought it was absolutely perfect. The interior was immaculate, the shower room put our own to shame with it's modern, efficient and attractive finish and the bed was very comfortable. Inside the hotel it has been reburbished sensitively and the square it is situated in is full of charm. We loved the Jewish quarter which didn't attract the enormous crowd of the market square and would advise any stag parties to keep clear of this lovely area to keep it as nice as it is. Highly recommended

We stayed for 4 nights and five days. From the moment of our very late arrival, just before mid-night, we were made welcome! Our room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking Szeroka, magnificantly appointed. The bathroom was underfloor heated - most welcome first thing in the morning!
The whole staff were bright, cheerful and always happy to help. Their English was better than my stumbling Polish - but they never interupted and waited til I hade made a fool of my self before politely helping. I onece asked for a 'corkscrew' so I could fix my spectacles! There were big grins and helped me find a screwdriver.
The hotel restaurant is a wonderful place. We ate the on 3 occasions - such was the quality of the food and the service.

I cannot find fault!! We sgall be returming in December 2008. Looking forward to that.

Thank you all so much.
