This small but well-appointed Krakow hotel right in the centre of the popular Kazimierz district is a great base for those looking to explore one of the more interesting parts of the city. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a comfortable standard, and, unlike most places to stay in Cracow, they have gone to great lengths to provide extra facilities such as a room specially adapted for disabled people. Most important of all, expect friendly staff here who are happy to provide plenty of information about places to visit in Kazimierz, which has a vibrant cafe culture as well as important historical monuments. The Old Town is just ten minutes walk away.

Hotel Kazimierz

Well said Laura and Matt. This hotel doesn't disappoint. I always stay there and it is perfect value for money.

Can't think of anything negative about this hotel. Stayed here in December 2010 for 3 nights. Absolutely loved it! Staff were so lovely and helpful in giving us directions to places. Rooms had everything we needed. Got nothing bad to say. Will definately return to Hotel Kazimierz and we recommend it to everyone who is playing a trip to Krakow!

I don't think you could find any better place for the same price as you'd spend here. The Hotel has been gradually refurbished, but has kept many original features, giving it character and a sense of history, it is also keeping with the tradition of the place it is situated in.

I agree - location is perfect! We also enjoyed all the beautiful ad very atmospheric cafes just round the corner from the Hotel. Very friendly staff.

Very good location, easy to walk - both to the heart of Kazimierz and the Market Square too. Good standard of the rooms and good size bathroom.

It was a very clean and comfortable hotel to stay in.Good position in the Jewish Quarters to sightsee.Surrounded by good restaurants and bars but not noisy.

I used this hotel for the second time in January and was still very happy with the rooms, the fantastic choice at breakfast, the ideal spot for sightseeing and the many nice restaurants and bars. We are visiting Krakow again at the end of September and have just booked the Kazimierz for a 3rd time and are going to try the new annexe?

Kazimierz has a very helpfull and friendly staff, who readily assisted in booking tours to Wielitzka saltmine tour and Auschwitz, and the location close to Wavel Castle and the old market square is fine. The rooms are clean and large, and breakfast is plentyfull.

I fell in love with Krakow at first sight, and Hotel Kazimierz was a big help in that! From the start the nice staff helped me with everything I needed, the room was great, and the Jewish quarter and the whole city was amazing, especially covered in snow!

The Hotel - warm, calm and comfortable; the staff - friendly, helpful and efficient. I will stay there again.

Seconding the thin walls - that was the biggest issue I had with this hotel. We stayed in winter so the air conditioning was not a problem, and it was nice and warm in our room despite the freezing winter outside.

reviewed by Rachel from United States on Dec.11.2008

Nice basic rooms but we had no air conditioning. Hot running water and bathroom ok. Only problem was the noise from other rooms. The walls must be so thin - I could even hear the person next door sneeze, cough, empty their bladder and snore. Not good if you're after a good night's sleep. Otherwise, the location is great, right in the middle of everything but I wouldn't stay here again. We paid a bit more for the first night and stayed in the Columbus - I'd rather stay there where the walls are thicker than paper.

All four of us found this hotel to be staffed by a group of very friendly and helpful people. The rooms were fine and bathrooms spotless. The breakfasts certainly set us up for our explorations of Krakow.

Quite a trendy part of town. Had great fun exploring all the bars on 'Plac Nowy'.

Very pleased with this hotel. Great location, value for money and in an old building with bags of character. Very close to lots of cosy bars and restaurants, and 10 mins walk to the Old Town. Helpful staff, would make us much-needed coffee after midnight, and decent breakfast till 11am. Quiet, clean rooms. No complaints at all.

Am planning on booking a trip to Krakow and this hotel in the new year. Just wanted to highlight my feeling of disgust at Tracey's review and the ignorance behind calling all Poland unfriendly due to the one experience her partner had. My thinking is that to fall asleep on the pavement in the early hours due to alcohol is a recipe for disaster whichever country you are in and there are certainly no guarantees that he would have fared any better in the UK.

my partner is there as we speak after being there less then 5 hours and a few to many got into taxi and fell asleep woke up on pavement with his money and his phone gone not a very good impression from these friendly polish people is it wouldnt visit again if it last place on earth visitors should be warned of this disgusting behaviour of tourists putting money into this country. friendly ha

Great location, very helpful staff, clean, comfortable, quiet room on the 4th floor. The weather was about 26C, so room was very hot, air conditioning was a bit weak. So, we pulled the bed over just under the air conditioning machine. Breakfast was reasonable. Glad we booked here, the location was great, so many restaurants/cafes/bars/ close by. A lot cheaper than the city centre and better atmosphere. Markets on Saturday and Sunday are great.

Chose this hotel off the Internet and we were not disappointed. Reception staff were very helpful, breakfast very extensive - waiting staff helpful but not 'hovering'. The room & bathroom were clean and inviting. Great place to stay near Pubs and Restaurants. Hope to go back again!

My wife and I had a very nice week on this hotel in the spring 2006. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an exceptional location for walking and public transportation. Safe and affordable car parking. Nice and quiet breakfast restaurant. The only minus was the view from our window: Two walls of grey concrete.

We had a very great stay at this hotel. We would always go back and stay there the next time in Kracow. Thanks to the staff and see you again.

GReat hotel to base yourself in - plenty of bars and places to eat nearby and only a 15 minute stroll from the centre - definately would stay there again.

reviewed by Donna from United Kingdom on Apr.02.2005

Rooms were good and spacious. Location was good, the hotel street didn't have much traffic and you could easily walk to Old Town. Hotel staff was very helpfull. If I come back to Cracow I would gladly visit Kazimierz again. Just one tip: if you know there will be a party (like wedding) in Kazimierz then first floor rooms might be to noisy.
