It is always said that the English have a soft spot for tea, but it seems that the Poles are equally fond of a good brew. This lovely shop, which is just around the corner from the Dominican Church, is a veritable haven for tea lovers. Demmers has one of the widest collections of tea available in Cracow, and the refined, elegant atmosphere makes this something of a temple for the tea brigade. You can also pick up some very dainty odds and ends, such as oriental styled mugs and cups, making this a fine place to come in a search of a present. 'Thank God for tea,' remarked the British Prime Minister Gladstone. 'What would the world do without tea! How did it exist? I am glad I was not born before tea.' One couldn't agree more.
