Ciu Ciu

Kids love Ciu Ciu, but the constant stream of visitors both young and old demonstrate that this unique little sweetshop hidden away just behind the main square is a real family attraction. It is unique because it is the only place in Poland that manufactures sweets to recipes dating back to the 17th century, and the results are quite stunning. Additionally, there is nowhere else in Poland that makes home made caramels - apart that is from the business headquarters in Gdansk. But the real selling point for Ciu Ciu in Krakow is that, in the shop, visitors can place their orders and watch the sweets being created in front of their eyes. This hands on approach extends to getting to know the public too - look out for the giant candy that wanders around the main square in the summer, enticing guests to visit the shop. Those who take up the offer will be well-rewarded; and anyone who has already been will know there is every reason for a return visit.
