"Their quality of stores is good, although quantity is somewhat lacking. It came in real handy with our study abroad group because it was 5 min. away from the Collegium Medicina. It has a really nice grocery store, food court and movie theatre. Close to the river and Kazimirez. "

"This book store was one of the highlights of my Tokyo to Paris overland trip a year ago. It truly is one of the best bookstores in the world. It boggles the mind how an English language bookstore in the middle of central Europe could have such an extensive collection of used English books. Hooray!"

"It's not Poland's answer to Foyle's in London's Charing Cross. Empik has its own history. All the students read, but hardly anyone ever seems to buy anything,because they can't afford, and that's sad truth! If book costs 35zl and hourly rate is 5zl if they are lucky enough to find a job! "

"There's a great place to lunch - right in the middle of the Galeria there's loads of red seats with cracked-glass-effect tables where they serve yummy toasties (£2) and the most fantastic ice cream dishes(£3)- the perfect tonic for a tough day of shopping! The Apart upstairs has some really nice jewellery at great prices! Carrefour is great for food shopping! As a result this makes the Galeria Krakowska the best in Poland!"

"Galeria Kazimierz is a good place to hang out on the weekend, not just for shopping (though that's great there too!) but for people-watching, seeing a movie, etc. it's great when it's cold and snowing outside and you just want to spend a day indoors without getting bored."

"The best part of Galeria Krakowska is that it's open late (for Polish standards) - til 10 pm every night (just the shops, the centre itself stays open til 11 pm!) except Sundays til 9, which means those of us that work late can still get our shopping done in the evening! Now if only someone would open a 24 hour shopping centre in Krakow..."

"some good stores in Galeria Kazimierz. Alma is great place for fresh meat, fruit and veg. and even sells HP sauce! Clothes wise you've got Puma, Zara, and H&M. Polish stores House and Diverse are not bad either. If you're a mall rat you'll also enjoy just checking out the hot girls and going to the cinema"

"Ikea stores are great if you're staying here long-term or just end up with an unfurnished apartment that needs furnishing on the cheap. If you don't have a car (or if you're buying larger items), they offer delivery to your door, and even installation for more complicated furniture such as for the kitchen. It's great to have one of these in Krakow!"
