At Last, Something New!

While the Sukiennice is an amazing icon of Krakow's glorious Renaissance past, and the National Museum's collection of 19th century Polish art is impressive and one of the gems of the museum's collections, all of that stuff can feel a bit ...old. So, in a novel idea, the museum would like to present something new!

"At Last, Something New!" is an exhibition of the collections of modern art from the Malopolska region. This unique exhibition will showcase the collections of the Malopolska Foundation of the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Modern Art in Niepolomice, and Krakow's own Bunkier Sztuki modern art gallery. The exhibition will take up the whole first floor of the Gallery of 19th Century Art in the Sukiennice, featuring the works of over 60 artists of international fame, created using different mediums, in over 300 pieces.

The exhibit itself will run from the 16th of June until the 15th of August, Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. However, we suggest you catch the exhibition opening on Friday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m.
