The exhibition of the winners and lariats of the Save From Oblivion photography competition will be displayed at the International Culture Centre on Krakow's Market Square. The photographs of the five winners and six honourable mentions will be displayed alongside over 80 works selected by the jury, which they felt best represent the beauty and dynamics of Krakow. After the official opening on the 29th of November at 5 pm, the exhibition will be shown until the 2nd of March, and admission is free of charge for the duration of the exhibition.

Save from Oblivion (Ocalic od Zapomnienia) is the first international edition of a photography competition that was originally begun in 1977. After a brief interval, it has been revived as an international event.
The goal of the competition is to show Krakow's uniqueness in photos: people, architecture, nature, and all aspects of Krakow that make this city unique. Krakow is a city of contrasts, particularly old and new, traditional and modern, nature and architecture, and the contest aims to display those contrasts in artistic ways.
Photographers from Poland and abroad can participate in the contest, as long as all works are submitted by October 16th 2007. Each photographer can submit up to three entries. The finalists of the competition will be displayed in the MCK Gallery in the Market Square and will be printed in an accompanying album in two language versions: Polish and English. The results of the competition will be announced on the 28th of November 2007. For complete details and rules for entering the competition, please see the competition websites:
