Goya: The Sleep of Reason...
Dates shown: until February 14th
Branch: Main Building, Al. 3 Maja 1
The Foundation of the Czartoryski Princes has loaned its jewel in the crown, Leonardo's Lady with an Ermine, to the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest. In return, the gallant Hungarians have dispatched one of their treasures to Krakow, Goya's Episode from the Spanish War of Independence, The Third of May 1808. The stirring painting is accompanied by a rare collection of Goya prints donated to Krakow a hundred years ago by eccentric collector, Feliks "Manggha" Jasienski. Head over to the main seat of the National to discover more.
