As of 2007 Krakow's Motordrom Go-karting switched locations from its nineteenth century tram depot in Kazimierz to the parking lot of the old Communist 'Hotel Forum', just across the river. This much improved open air track proves to be a worthy distraction for the adrenaline seeker - a full-on go-carting circuit where you can burn rubber to your heart's content! The track is open for business at midday and remains so until ten at night, so you'll have plenty of time to challenge the lap record. Due to its popularity it's essential to book ahead. fun place but i'm horrible at driving and ended up crashing hehe... take it easy if you're still learning or you'll end up on the wrong side of the track :) don't worry though everything is padded with rubber tires so there's no chance of hurting yourself or anyone (or anything)

The new venue is not that bad at all. i
recommend it!

they moved their location to the old hotel forum across the river, but the go carts are as awesome as ever - maybe even better cos now the track is an old parking lot - not as slippery, and bigger! definitely a fun day out in the sun!

Heh this is such a laugh, with none of the messing about with fireproof body suits and lengthy briefings like back home. The karts are pretty quick too, although I did notice a fair bit of variation in terms of grip/engine power between them. Kart 8 was the best I drove. Unfortunately the track is too narrow for overtaking so you'll get blue flagged if someone visibly faster than you is coming up behind. The first corner is great tho, challenging you to push it as fast as you dare without slamming into the barrier, and the last corner will test ur speed carrying skills quite well.

The track is not really wide enough for overtaking so you really need blue flags, but the officials are very efficient. They usually let people race in groups of 2 or 3, and since the track is indoors there isn't very much grip. They had a list with 3 different engines for the karts, but when i went they only had 6kM(?) ones available. Nice track with a couple of nice curves, and the price was very honest (15 PLN for 8 minutes). Good Fun

AWESOME!!!! i finally feel at home here in krakow. at home we race brushless electric kartss... www.racep2r.com
the location here in krakow is great. the 12hp kart is fast for indoors on the top end. beware of burn on your right arm where the engine is located. haha. i have a huge blister. other than that the guys that run the place are very nice and the local drivers accepting of newcomers. i am going back on monday!!! =))))

The guy in the photo is the polish karting champ, Dave McGuinnesski. He will be returning to the circuit on 31st March 2006.

Cool circuit inside what looks like a barn. You can race 3 or 4 at a time and your best/last lap times are shown on a digital scoreboard. One of our gang managed sub-30 seconds. The circuit has some great bends to it and even if you've not karted before, you'll soon get the hang of it.
