Lokietek's Cave

In 1300 the Polish Prince Ladislas the Short was under attack from the dastardly King Wencelas of Bohemia. After many skirmishes in the Ojcow valley, the king was forced into hiding. He found a secret passage into this cave, and owing to a huge spiders web that concealed the door, the enemy was put off the scent. Having regrouped his forces the noble prince returned and saved his kingdom. The cave is a longstanding favourite with Polish children, and the surrounding countryside is nothing short of spectacular, making this a surefire hit for a family day out. Coupled with the magnificent castle of Pieskowa Skala, you've a real treat in store.

Ask for the short tour - we did twenty minutes, period. Awesome scenery!

The walk to the cave was beautiful, and the cave itself was pretty cool, but the guide was TORTUROUS!!!!! it was freezing cold down there, and she talked in a amonotone voice (much like the teacher from Ferris Beuller's Day Off) and went on and on and on about B.S. The tour could have been twenty minutes long but was a wopping fifty minutes. Be prepared, bring a jacket and lots of patience.
