Lokietek's Cave

|
In 1300 the Polish Prince Ladislas the Short was under attack from the dastardly King Wencelas of Bohemia. After many skirmishes in the Ojcow valley, the king was forced into hiding. He found a secret passage into this cave, and owing to a huge spiders web that concealed the door, the enemy was put off the scent. Having regrouped his forces the noble prince returned and saved his kingdom. The cave is a longstanding favourite with Polish children, and the surrounding countryside is nothing short of spectacular, making this a surefire hit for a family day out. Coupled with the magnificent castle of Pieskowa Skala, you've a real treat in store. |
