Tragic Fire In Kazimierz

Three people died and twenty were injured over the weekend as a fire raged through a townhouse in the Cracovian district of Kazimierz.

Alarms were raised just before ten on Saturday night as fire blazed from the ground floor of a residential building on ul. Dajwor (No. 19) just by the new Galicia Museum.

Carbon monoxide poisoning led to three adults dying on the spot.

The original cause of the fire is believed to be either a discarded match or cigarette, or an electrical fault.

Two hours later a second fire ignited on nearby Waska street. There were no casualties in the latter incident.
