Fat Bills For Fighter Pilots

Colonel Roscislaw Stepaniuk is the first Polish pilot trained to fly the new F-16 fighter planes. Colonel Stepaniuk completed his seven months’ training in Tucson, Arizona.

He is the first of thirteen Polish pilots currently in the US and one of 48 who will undergo the training within the next three years, one for each F-16 plane bought by Poland. The costs of training one pilot (including 62 flights) are estimated at 1 million US dollars.
