Four pianists from Japan, three from South Korea and two from Poland are among the 12 finalists of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
In the finals - which start tomorrow - the contestants will have to play one of Chopin’s two concertos, in E minor or F minor. An American, Russian and a HongKong Chinese pianist also qualified for the final.
Prizewinners’ names will be announced on Friday. First Prize winner will receive the Grand Prix and a cash prize of 25 thousand dollars.
