Art By The Handicapped

Even if you devoted an entire week to doing nothing but exploring Cracow's museums and galleries, the chances are that you'd still have only scratched the surface before your time was out - there really is a lot to see here. In this regard, we'd like to give a big, big shout for a free exhibition that's being held at the International Cultural Centre at the moment. The show closes this Sunday, and it would be a great shame to miss it.

The thing about this exhibition is that if you knew nothing about it, you'd probably think that the art was the work of a decidedly hip, experimental group of young talents. But as it turns out, the pieces on show are all by people who are mentally and physically handicapped. The art is a revelation, complimented by the unparalleled calibre of the exhibition space itself, which is quite simply the finest in Cracow. Make sure you catch it before it closes on the 9th - it's the best exhibition we've seen in months.
