Krakow Kangaroo Theft
Visitors to a Polish zoo became so besotted by a friendly kangaroo they stole it, police have claimed.
Officials say they are searching for at least two thieves after 'Joey' was swiped from his cage at a Krakow zoo.
A spokesman said they suspect visitors had fallen in love for the marsupial, and had hidden in the zoo until closing time, when they then broke the cage door and made off with the unsuspecting animal.He said: "It's most likely visitors who didn't want to make do with a stuffed version and wanted the real thing. From the size of the animal we've got to be looking for at least two adults for the theft."
