Poland striker Maciej Zurawski aims to cap off his World Cup qualifying campaign by heaping further misery on Sven-Goran Eriksson.
The Celtic forward has hit a rich vein of goalscoring form with three in his last two Bank of Scotland Premier League appearances.
But the former Wisla Krakow man has also scored twice in as many World Cup qualifiers to leave the Poles on the verge of a place at the finals in Germany next summer.
After England suffered an embarrassing defeat in Northern Ireland on Wednesday, Poland hold a five-point advantage over Eriksson's team, although they have played one more game.
England need to defeat Austria in Manchester on October 8 to set up a thrilling finale against the Poles four days later.
But Zurawski is taking nothing for granted before the game at Old Trafford next month.
He said: "We didn't expect England to lose to Northern Ireland and every hiccup they have is good for us.
"There has been a lot of talk about the English team but it doesn't matter to us which players they pick.
"If they leave out David Beckham, they have others.
"We will worry about ourselves and can take the point we need at Old Trafford.
"I have scored seven goals in this campaign and would love to get another against England."
But Zurawski has also warned Beckham and company that his form is continuing to improve after a poor start to life with Celtic.
Hoops' manager Gordon Strachan paid £2million for the player in the summer.
However, the immediate response on the outlay was a poor display in the Champions League drubbing by Artmedia Bratislava in July.
But, since then, Zurawski has helped fire Celtic back into the SPL title race.
He added: "I'm now coping well with the pressure of playing for a big club like Celtic and settling in off the park. I had fears at first but everything is fine now.
"Every striker wants to score and, when you are not hitting the net, you fear the goals won't come.
"Netting twice against Dunfermline a couple of weeks ago helped.
"I've been a slow starter in the past but I'm now in my rhythm. My self-confidence is much better."
