According to the Polish media twenty six year old Brazilian midfielder Andre Paulo Barreta has become the newest member of Wisla Krakow. Besides him, Pawel Kryszalowicz is due to replace Tomasz Frankowski.

“Kryszalowicz is a proven player that we don’t really need to talk about. He has 33 caps for the Polish national team and is still a great threat for the opponent goalkeepers,” said Wisla Krakow’s coach Jerzi Engels, adding that the 31 year old is also in great form, having scored two goals in three league matches.

Kryszalowicz has spent most of his career playing in Amica Wronki, with whom he remained from 1995 until this summer. He also played two and a half seasons between 2001 and 2003 when he made appearances in for Eintracht Frankfurt with whom he played 71 league matches, scoring 26 goals. In Wronki he made 191 appearances and notched up 62 goals on the score sheet.

On the other hand, the Brazilian 26 year old Baretta is much more of a mystery. The only thing that we know about him is that he plays in the link and that he made 25 appearances for Boavista last season and scored 2 goals in the Portuguese top flight. Still, Engels is confident that the South American will prove a valuable member of the squad.
