Tickets for Jean Michel Jarre’s concert, marking the 25th anniversary of Solidarity, the communist bloc’s first free trade union, have almost sold out.

The concert, at the Gdansk Shipyard, the cradle of Solidarity, will be one of the main anniversary events. Jarre had a meeting with the first charismatic Solidarity leader Lech Walesa a few days ago and during this weekend he will record a part of the material for his concert. Later this week, 11 trucks of equipment are expected in Gdansk.

About 120,000 people are expected at the concert on August 26.
