New Steel Plants For Poland
Mittal Steel Poland, the country's steel giant, agreed yesterday to build a hot rolling plant in Krakow and a new continuous caster in Dabrowa Gornicza, the news agency Puls Biznesu reported.
The first project is worth 280 mln eur.
The hot rolling plant will be made by Voest Alpine Industry while the project in Dabrowa Gornicza will be built by SMS Demag.
'We hope those investments to be made by the end of 2006 and launched in 2007', Vijay Bhatnagar,the chief executive of Mittal Steel Poland said.
