A word of friendly advice to all wayfarers - make sure you stamp your tram ticket over the next few days (and indeed all days as we're all good upstanding citizens of course....). Seriously though, there seems to be something of a wave of the dreaded ticket inspectors at the moment. On two consecutive days, plain-clothed, undercover agents have erupted into action on our morning ride into town. Luckily we'd stamped the accursed tickets, but it's more than easy to get caught out. Even if you have a ticket and have forgotten to stamp it, the agents will still try and nail you for ever zloty possible, and the truth is, if you're foreign they'll try and hit you up for a bumper wad of cash in the region of 100 zlotys. It's happened to us, and you need great skill as a negotiator to prove your innocence!
So bear all this in mind dear readers. And if you've just arrived in the city, you can buy tickets for 2.50 zl at the little kiosks that you'll find dotted around town. Otherwise, you can buy them from the driver for 3 zlotys, but make sure you stamp them in the machines immediately! All best for now.
