Poland overcame Azerbaijan 3-0 in a World Cup qualifier to go top of Group Six on Saturday.
Three goals proved too much for Azerbaijan's Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto, who was ejected from the stadium after picking a fight with the fourth official.
Carlos Alberto ran on to the pitch to dispute the last goal, exchanged heated words and was physically restrained before he was ordered to leave the ground.
"The referee was weak, there were many silly mistakes," the Brazilian told reporters.
The Poles went two points above England having played one game more. England are away to Wales in their next qualifier in September. For Azerbaijan, who remain bottom with two points from seven games, the scoreline was an improvement on the 8-0 hammering they suffered in Poland in March. Poland dominated the game with striker Tomasz Frankowski opening the scoring in the 28th minute when he broke clear with only goalkeeper Jahangir Hasanzade to beat. A header from Tomasz Klos shortly after the break made it 2-0 and striker Maciej Zurawski finished off the scoring in the 79th minute.
"We're happy to take the three points," said Poland coach Pawel Janas.
