If you're here for the weekend and anxious that you won't have time to catch all the things you wanted to see, you just might be in luck this evening. For the second year in a row, Cracow will be hosting a 'Noc Muzeow' (Night of Museums) with 31 of the city's best museums throwing their doors open for some nighttime adventures.
Cracow's venerable museums have funny hours during the week - most are shut on Mondays and many finish for the day as early as 3 in the afternoon. Today however you'll be able to wander in for a mere one zloty until as late as 1 in the morning.
Expect plenty of surprises. We were heartened to spot a rather nonchalant cat enjoying the priceless furniture in the Hipolit Museum of Interiors yesterday. However, a little bird has told us that some even more eccentric characters will be settling in for tonight's shenanigans.
One-off extras can be enjoyed at any of the museums that are taking part. Most of the evening sessions will begin at 7pm. For more info on the institutions themselves, check our main culture section on the banner that lies to the left of this text.
