45th Cracow Film Festival
Over 1300 movies from across the world have been submitted for two competition sections of the 45th Cracow Film Festival. The event is Poland's oldest film festival, and it concentrates on short films, documentaries and animated pieces.
It looks like it's going to be a tough job for the selectors, let alone the for the competitors themselves - a factor which bodes well for the standard of this year's Festival, both in the Polish and International spheres.
The deadline passed on February 15th, and since then the selection committee has been hard at work getting to grips with the myriad films that have been submitted.
Over 1300 movies are in the running, with offerings from across the globe. Lebanese, Chinese, Brazilian, Korean, Mexican and Cuban artists have submitted films, as well as European cuts from the Netherlands. Germany and more.
The festival kicks off on Tuesday 31st of May, closing on Sunday 5th June. The main venue will be Kino Kijow at Aleja Krasinskiego 34.
