Research cash on offer

 

Grants of up to 3,500zł (770 EUR) per month are on offer for non-Poles who want to study aspects of Polish culture. The Thesaurus Poloniae is a three-month long programme run by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, through the International Cultural Centre in Krakow. There are two categories of fellowships – senior, for professors and PhD holders, and junior, for PhD candidates. Successful senior applicants will receive 3,500zł per month, while juniors will get 2,500zł per month. Both categories also carry a one-off grant of 1,500zł. In all, 12 fellowships will be awarded. The first six will be announced after the initial application period, which ends on February 29. Successful applicants in this round will take part in the fellowship programme between May 1 and September 30. A second window for applications will open on April 15 and ends on May 31.
