Little stage with big ideas

Krakow has a brand new theatre in the upcoming district of Podgorze - the Scena na Lwowskiej. The theatre is an intimate venue with seating for just 50 people. The space had previously been used for shows among a group of friends, before Agnieszka Cianciara-Froehlich, actress, director and project manager, decided that she wanted to bring a wider range of acts to the city. Now, Agnieszka and the team have booked a programme of Polish and international theatre groups to perform at the riverside venue. The season began on Saturday with the first showing of Upside Down, an insightful drama about a French-Polish marriage disintegrating under external and internal pressures. Follow the link and see the theatre's website for more information about the forthcoming programme.
