To San Francisco by bus

From Krakow to San Francisco by bus, via theatre, film and multimedia? It can only be American Day in Krakow.
The On Off Theatre of Absolute Psychodelia, working alongside Dom Kultury Podgorze, is putting together the programme for visitors on May 6 – based inside a vintage bus inspired by 1950s San Francisco public transport.
Attendants will welcome each passenger on board and introduce the entertainment for the journey, starting with Scott McKenzie’s music video about the city. Next it’s on to the Slowacki theatre to collect actress Helena Modrzejewska, who left for the US in 1876 and a revival of one of her greatest Californian performances.
The journey will continue with arts and presentations linking Krakow and California, including Cole Porter and Czeslaw Milosz-inspired plays, a trip down Lech Walesa Street, and all of San Francisco’s most famous landmarks. Further information will be available by following the American Consulate's page.
