Flair, daring colours and avant-garde cuts - just about anything can be expected at Krakow Fashion week, beginning on March 27 at Galeria Kazimierz.
The centrepiece of the week will be the Krakow Fashion Awards 2011, at which young designers will compete for fellowships at top fashion and design schools, and other prizes. More than 50 collections are expected to be presented in the competition, and dresses by previous winners will be on show.
Models from the Reklamex agency will show the creations and Krakow School of Art and Fashion Design – itself the recipient of an award for its contribution to the Polish fashion industry – will run an online competition from March 29 to April 3.
The event is organised in collaboration between Galeria Kazimierz, the National Museum in Krakow and Empik. During the week there will be opportunities to meet designers and fashion writers, and to take part in workshops.
