Just the ticket
There’s great news for anyone planning to take a trip from Krakow – either nationally or internationally – as an air route is to re-open and the price of train tickets on a popular route has been frozen.
Officials at Balice airport have confirmed that flights to Chicago, suspended last year, will resume from mid-February. The Polish national airline LOT said the route was unprofitable, but the new flights are expected to be run in collaboration between FlyCentralEurope, Panorama Travel and Tours, and Air Italy Poland.
For domestic journeys, the price of a train ticket has risen almost everywhere – with the exception of some trips on the national operator’s Krakow to Warsaw line. The cost of sleeper tickets on PKP’s TLK trains between the cities will also remain the same.
