Snaps For A Rainy Day
Let's be frank, it's not the driest of Mays. In fact, it's one of the wettest in years. But if you're due in Cracow, and in search of some indoor entertainment, the Month of Photography could be just the ticket. Now in its 8th incarnation, Photomonth has become one of the most vital photography festivals in Central Europe. With dozens of exhibitions across town, hosted at some of Cracow's quirkiest venues, there's a veritable feast of pics to savour.
Drop into the cultural info office just off the square at ul. Jana 2. There you can pick up an English map with the full lowdown on what's happening. Besides shows by Polish talents, each edition of the festival spotlights a specific country. This year, it's the UK, giving us a chance to catch up on some of the most interesting developments in British photography over the last thirty years.
