A brand new art festival is underway in Krakow, and organizers have high hopes that it will become an annual fixture in the city's cultural calendar.
Some of the hottest names on Poland's contemporary art scene are taking part in the programme, and things got off to a smashing start over the weekend when Rafal Bujnowski laid waste to a car in in his "Woman's Vengeance" project - a work based on the true tale of an angry Varsovian housewife.
ArtBoom wants to engage especially with the city proper, and there will be discussions, installations and tours on all kinds of themes, including kitsch in the Krakow's public spaces.
