Beware: It's Smigus Dyngus

If you plan to roam Cracow's streets 13th April, and find yourself drenched in water, just go with it and look for your opportunity to return the favor. It's Smigus Dyngus, or the day after Easter dedicated to a bit of sport with water. It's the one day a year children and the young-at-heart can engage in open liquid warfare. In old Poland, Smigus Dyngus was a chance for young boys to make their mark on girls they had their eyes on. But these days it's a bit of a free-for-all, with balconies being favored hiding places. You can't say we didn't warn you. Have fun.
