Barcelona Trounce Wisla

After an emphatic 5-1 victory against Beitar Jerusalem saw Wisla advance their Champions League qualification campaign, there were hopes that this might be a good year for the Cracovian side. However blocking their way to qualification was Barcelona, and the Catalans proved a mighty obstacle in last night's match.

It was the Cameroon striker, Eto, who did the most damage. The forward was nearly offloaded during the summer but produced the goods twice against Wisla, scoring in both halves, whilst Xavi and Henry added to the visitors misery. It could have been much worse, as Wisla spent most of the 90 minutes being visibly outplayed by the home side.

The result leaves is likely to make Barcelona's trip to Krakow on the 27th August as something on an exhibition match... barring of course a second "Miracle on the Vistula".
