Almost a year ago today Krakow's first English language newspaper materialised on the streets of this grand old city, providing ex-pats, businessmen and tourists alike with a way of keeping up to date with the latest news - without going through the painful experience of learning Polish first.
But around March there was a strange absence of fresh press appearing on the racks around the city, as the newspaper went under new ownership and was being completely revised and readied for a relaunch... The all new Krakow Post hit the streets in May and has already been deemed a great success!
A completely new editorial board has sharpened up the content and added a dash of journalistic panache to proceedings, whereas a drastic redesign has left the Post looking as sharp as particularly dangerous looking tack. Now a monthly publication, in addition to the latest goings on in Krakow and Poland, the Krakow Post has a special feature for every edition, sports, tech and business news, a fantastic culture section, plus a 'City Life' insert (prepared with a little help from their friends at Cracow Life!) which includes a scintillating nightlife section and the monthly calendar of events.
Hunt down a copy in one of Krakow's best bars, restaurants, hotels or shops, or else check out their website - www.krakowpost.com - to keep abreast with what's going on.
