Cracow still has a handful of art house cinemas up her sleeve, and long may they continue to flourish. If you've got a soft spot for independent cinema, why not trot along to the Art House Festival that's just got underway.
Kino Mikro and Kijow are co-hosting a cracking festival of experimental cinema, dishing up a scintillating selection of movies. They've cast their net far and wide, hauling up films both old and new. Movie buffs will find classic cuts by star directors such as Jiri Menzel alongside modern masterpieces by up-and-coming artists.
The Art House Festival kicked off at the cosy Kino Mikro, switching to Kino Kijow on 3rd April. The latter will keep the torch burning until April 9th.
