The 17th anniversary of the death of Polish artist and writer Tadeusz Kantor is going on right now, with several cultural institutions remembering the artist in their own way. First, the Cricoteka Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadesz Kantor is a logical starting point for getting to know the artist, and until the 14th of December there will be daily events and workshops about Kantor's works and life. Also, the main branch of the National Museum in Krakow, whose Gallery of 20th Century Polish Art includes a handful of Kantor's works and films, is devoting a special exhibition to the renowned artist that will be shown from the 12th of December to the 6th of January 2008. The exhibition features photographs by Wojtek Sprel, depicting the dramatic showing of Kantor's Dead Class 1975-1976. Don't miss these opportunities to get to know one of the brightest creative minds in Poland of the 20th century!
