The Polish artistic organization A Kuku Sztuka has organized a rare event to take place for the next three days: a screening of acclaimed director Matthew Barney's masterpiece "The Cremaster Cycle". The cycle consists of five films which will be shown in three days in Krakow's arthouse cinema Pod Baranami.

The Polish leg of The Cremaster on Tour series began in Gdansk last week, and after Krakow it will continue on to Lodz and Poznan. The Cremaster Cycle is Barney's magnum opus, a product of pure imagination and a project spanning over a decade in its making. The films have elements of horror, musical, mystery, comedy and drama, and rely heavily on the use of powerful and incredibly vivid imagery. Barney, a director, scenographer, and producer is one of the most avant garde and enigmatic contemporary American artists.

All five films will be shown at Pod Baranami Cinema, with each showing beginning at 8:15 pm. On Monday the 29th of October, the first two films will be shown, with the third shown on Tuesday the 30th and the fourth and fifth making for a special Halloween treat on Wednesday the 31st. Tickets to each showing are 20 zloty, or 50 zloty for a pass to all three screenings.
